Cynthia Brant married Milo S. Curtis in June 1823. At the time Milo was in the harness and saddle making business in New York City. Then they set up house keeping in Homer, Courtland County, New York where their first two children, Mary and Laura were born. In 1830, the family homesteaded in Romeo, Macomb County, Michigan. And moving again in 1837,they homesteaded in Madison, Scioto County, Ohio where her husband Milo died in 1866. With her son, Wesley Curtis, and his family, Cynthia, traveled to Dallas County in 1873 eventually settling in what would become New Hope.
