Anna Krause was born about 1825 in the Pomorskie (Pomeranian) Region of northern Poland. She married Johann "John" Minchau (spelled Minchow in Minnesota) during 1850 at Konarzyny Parish, Chojnice County, Pomorskie, Poland. They had seven children baptized in that parish between 1851 to 1869.
Anna and Johann immigrated to Pike Creek Township during 1884 where one of their sons, Simon, had arrived during 1882 or 1883. Another son, Johann, Jr., and family also came to Pike Creek about 1887. All three families farmed.
During the June 1910 census, Anna and Johann Sr. were living with their son Simon.
Flensburg Scared Heart Parish records show Anna died on March 29, 1911, at home in Pike Creek of acute bronchitis. She was buried three days later.
