Lily was the oldest of five children born to Joshua Benjamin Comley and Esther Jane Webb. On 13 Nov 1897 she married Albert Milton Davis, a blacksmith, by whom she had five children: Eva, Lula, Alberta, Lillie and Homer. The couple later divorced and she married Fred Goodwin on 22 May 1920. Lily died of carcinoma of the uterus and cervix at the age of 51.
