1922-2011
Elma passed from this life peacefully to be with the Lord on February 18, 2011 in her home surrounded by family. She was born November 30, 1922 in Century, Florida. She married Comer Lee Calloway on September 5, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2000. She was loved by everyone who knew her and brought joy to the life of her family and friends. She was a dedicated Christian and member of Olive Baptist Church. She was also preceeded in death by daughter Judy Ann Calloway on March 21, 1964. She is survived by her son Glen Lee Calloway and Belinda of McDavid, Florida a special niece Joan Ward and husband Richard of Pensacola, Florida. Two grandchildren Kerrie Pope and husband Burnie of Coleman, Texas, Jason Calloway and Carla of Baird, Texas, four great grandchildren, Heather Torres, Lacey Stewart, Brittany and Brandon Calloway, one great great grandchild Raylee Stewart, many friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment with Rev. Eugene Steele officiating.
Serving, as pallbearers will be Richard Ward, Jerry Wood, Ronny Wood, Jerry Martin, Billy McCurdy and Phil Talbert.
Family will have visitors on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00 PM.
Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant Hospice. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
