Mrs. Harry B. Merrill

Mrs. Johannah Bodfish Merrill of 758 Springfield avenue, Irvington, wife of Harry B. Merrill, died yesterday at her home after a long illness. She was 68. Born in Shirley, Me., she lived 32 years in West Orange before moving to Irvington a year ago.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Harry B. Jr. of West Orange; two daughters, Mrs. Ardis A. Leavenguth of West Orange and Mrs. Lucille [sic] Gearly [sic] of the home address; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Hilton of West Orange, and four grandchildren.

Rev. Jacob B. Meyer, pastor of William Street Presbyterian Church, Orange, will conduct services Tuesday at 1 P. M. at the Weatherhead Funeral Home, 126 Main street, Orange. Burial will be in Pleasantdale Cemetery, West Orange. Newark Evening News, 29 Dec 1951.
