· Led the first families into Springville 18 September 1850. Aaron Johnson, William Miller, Myron N. Crandall, John W. Deal, Amos S. Warren with Tartih P. Nelson and Lucian D. Crandall and Charles Warren. 34 people.
Husband of 12 wives and father of 56 children. Polly Zerviah Kelsey, Sarah Mariah Johnson, Jane Scott, Mary Ann Johnson, Rachel Ford, Harriet Fidelia Johnson, Eunice Lucinda Johnson, Margaret Jane Ford, Julia Maria Johnson, Sarah James, Cecelia Elmina Sanford, and Jemina Davis.

Faith Steward

· Friend, neighbor and co-worker of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.
· Helped build both the Kirtland and Nauvoo Temples.
· Member of the Nauvoo High Council, city council and justice of the peace as well as an officer in the Nauvoo Legion.
· Furnished the boat for Joseph and Hyrum to cross the Mississippi when they intended to go to the Rocky Mountains. He rowed the boat back when they chose to return, and then accompanied them to Carthage where they were martyred.
· A presiding officer and bishop in the Iowa and Nebraska area for four years supervised the Saints preparations for their trek to Utah.
· Captain of 135 wagons on the trek to Utah.
· Leader of the first families who settled Springville
· First Bishop of Springville. Serving for 19 years.
· Member of the Utah Legislature.
· Major General in the Utah Militia. Responsible for Indian affairs in Utah County.
· Gunsmith, blacksmith, mechanic, farmer, builder, businessman, postmaster, Justice of the Peace and Probate Judge
· A faithful steward for 42 years sanctioned by God with his final calling as Patriarch.
