Son of Harris Yeomans (1730-1769) and Priscilla Hobbs.

Married Lucy Mary in 1781 in North Carolina.He enlisted in Craven County, North Carolina as a private in Captain William Speed's Company of the North Carolina Troops commanded by Colonel Benjamin Seawell. He was transferred to Captain Joseph Bryant's Company and fought in the Battle of John's River below Charleston. He served two years and six months and then re-enlisted and served until the close of the war. Buried Jordan S. Youmans property two miles south of Nunez.

Served in Revolution from Craven County, NC; remained there until approximately five years after the War, then moved to Beaufort District of SC, migrating on to Emanuel County, GA, approximately twenty years later.
