Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Terry of Hayward, Calif., a former resident of the Alfalfa and Eakly communities, were held Saturday afternoon at the Alfalfa Baptist church with rev. James Weston, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Eakly cemetery with Pitcher Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Perry, mother of Ira and Roy Ray, Carnegie, Everett Ray of Hydro, Ed Ray of Clinton, Orvil Ray, Mrs. Nora Hess and Mrs. Fern Reno, all of Hayward, died Wednesday, August 21, in Hayward after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 9, 1880, in Missouri. She had lived in the Alfalfa, Eakly and Hinton communities many years before moving to California about 20 years ago.
She also is survived by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
