Patrick Fitzgerald died last Saturday morning September 9th, at 6
o'clock at his home in this village of a complications of diseases the result of old age, aged 72 years. The funeral services took place at the Catholic church in this village last Monday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Father Murray officiating. He preached a sermon on the commandment with promise: "Honor your father and your mother." The funeral was largely attended. The last illness of
Patrick Fitzgerald began six months ago and he gradually failed to the end. He is survived by his widow and five children, as follows: Anna Fitzgerald at home, Mrs. Will Butler, of Newry; Mrs. J. W. McNerney of Summit; Raymond Fitzgerald at home and Thomas Fitzgerald In North Dakota. Patrick Fitzgerald was an honest, upright man who enjoyed the respect and esteem of all his neighbors. He has gone to his long rest sincerely mourned.
