COPENHAVER, Bonnie Dutton, 101, of Fayetteville, N.C. and formerly of Rural Retreat, Va., died Saturday, May 9, 1998 at Highland House Nursing Home in Fayetteville. She was born in Rural Retreat, Va. on April 1, 1897 the daughter of the late William Jonas and Nancy B. Dutton. Bonnie was a lifelong member of the Fulton United Methodist Church in Rural Retreat and had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bob Garman since 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl P. Copenhaver; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Ogle; a sister, Ethel D. Heldreth; and a brother, G. Hobert Dutton. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Robert Garman, Fayetteville, N.C., Margaret C. Medley, Rural Retreat, Malcolm C. Ogle, Pulaski; four sons and daughters-in-law, Kent Copenhaver, Clyde COpenhaver of Rural Retreat, Hugh and Doris Copenhaver of Atkins, Randolph and Jackie Copenhaver of Wytheville; ten grandchildren, Patty O. Parris, David, Donald & Sharyn Ogle, William Eugene Copenhaver, Paul, Tony and Dwayne Copenhaver, Karen Jackson and Ashley Garman; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at the Fulton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rance Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Kimberlin Lutheran Cemetery in Rural Retreat. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time. The family requests that those who prefer, may make memorials to the Fulton United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Lindsey Funeral Home. Arrangements by Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat, Va.
