Friends may call from 3 – 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Sam Luke, Pastor of Stewart Road Christian Ministries Center will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle. Born September 20, 1926 in Tazewell, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Tom and Edna (Estes) Short. She married Joseph Sakall September 15, 1945 in Petersburg, Michigan. Lucille is survived by her husband; a son, Leslie "Butch" Sakall of Weidman, Michigan; a brother, Thomas (Linda) Short of Temperance, Michigan; three sisters, Betty Williams of Florida, Dolly Newport and Eunice (Wilburn) Fannin of Plymouth, Michigan; two grandchildren, Brian Sakall and Heather Sakall. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters, Ellen Lambert, Georgia Whitman, Martha Anderson, Ethel Forter, Mary Newport, Linda Notario, and Phyllis Thomas.
