Mrs. Myrta Estell Dale, 75, died in Burnham City Hospital, Champaign, Illinois. She was born in Mahomet and attended school in Mahomet. After graduation in 1895, she taught school at Mahomet and Rantoul for six years. Mrs. Dale was active in St. Joseph civic affairs and led the planning of the St. Joseph High School. For sixteen years she managed the Dale Publications which was started by her husband, Charles Wilson Dale, while Mr. Dale served as Champaign County Treasurer. She was the first worthy matron of Faith Chapter 760, OES, for a time served as chairman of the Champaign County Chapter of the Red Cross and was an active member of the Methodist Church, where she was pianist, music chairman and Sunday School teacher. Survivors include her husband, Charles Wilson Dale; a daughter, two sons, three sisters, a brother, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burial in Mount Olive Cemetery, Mayview, Illinois.
