Tony married Lucia "Louise" Ruma in 1917 about 3 yrs. after arriving in America.
They had 3 children:
1.Joseph M. Scigliano
2.John Anthony Scigliano
3.Elizabeth "Betty" Scigliano
Tony immigrated from Calabria, Italy to the United States around 1914.
There must have been some mixup with the spelling of his last name when he came through Ellis Island because for a long time people thought they were Irish because their records said their name was "Sheloney".
This is proven as you can see it on the 1920 census.
Later they had to go to court to get this fixed and put back to the original spelling which shows their Italian heritage.
In Italy there is a village with the name of Scigliano. It is in Calabria ( near the toe of the boot ).
