HUGO, Okla. — Derrell E. Taylor of Fort Towson died Sunday, Jan. 2, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the Fort Towson Baptist Church with the Rev. David Browning officiating. Burial will be in Fort Towson Cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Taylor was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Swink, Okla. He was the son of George and Addie Taylor. He was a retired postal service worker. He was a veteran, having served in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Addie Torres of Fort Towson; two brothers, George Taylor of Fort Towson and Ishmael Taylor of Slidell, La.; and four sisters, Mrs. Laura Burkham of Hugo, Mrs. Zelpha Dozier of Roswell, N.M., Mrs. Desma Mendoza of Fort Towson and Mrs. Mary Childers.
