EVA HORAN
---The community was shocked by the death of Mrs. Eva Horan, wife of P.F. Horan, whose death occurred suddenly Tuesday morning. She had returned home Sunday evening from the hospital in Kirksville where she underwent an operation on July 5 for appendicitis. She appeared to be gaining and was in her usual good spirits until seized with a heart attack which caused her death.
---Eva Bunch Horan, born in Macon county, Missouri on September 22, 1882, a daughter of William and Cosby Bunch. She was married to Phil F. Horan on June 29, 1913, who survives. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Binda Vreeland of Fort Worth, Texas, three brothers, Robert L. Bunch of Ft. Madison and Everet Bunch, her twin brother, of Marceline and Lige Bunch of Kansas City, six nephews and three nieces. A nephew, Ischamael Bunch who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Horan a number of years, arrived with his wife from Washington D.C. for the funeral, and a nephew, Earl Green, employed by the Christie Drug Store, made his home with Mrs. Horan's mother. She also leaves other relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.
---Mrs. Horan was a friend to everyone and a good neighbor. She will be sadly missed by her family, neighbors and friends.
---Deceased was a member of the La Plata Baptist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
---Funeral services were held at the Baptist church this afternoon by Rev. Cleve Hardgrove of Brookfield, former pastor here and friends of the family. Interment was made in the La Plata cemetery.
