---Funeral services for Mrs. William Bunch, eighty-four, who died of pneumonia at the home of her son, Everett C. Bunch in Marceline, February 22, 1934, were held at the La Plata Baptist Church Saturday afternoon. Burial was in La Plata cemetery.
---Mrs. Bunch, whose maiden name was Causby Ann Cook, was born September 11, 1849 in Bloomington, Macon County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Garland T. and Anna Cook, pioneer residents of Macon County. Her father was a government express rider in the days of pony stage coach.
---She was married to William Bunch of Clark County, Kentucky, sixty-eight years ago. To this union eight children were born, five of whom preceded her in death. Surviving children are: Robert Bunch of Ft. Worth, Texas, Everett Bunch of Kansas City, Mrs. Binda Vreeland of Ft. Worth, Texas, Everett Bunch of Marceline and Mrs. Philip Horan of La Plata. She also leaves three sisters and two half brothers, Mrs. Gilliam Williams of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Emma Ford of Caldwell, Kansas, Mrs. Alzata Bunch and Joe Bunch of Brookfield and Roy Bunch of Hannibal. There are seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Besides her own family Mrs. Bunch had reared two of her grandsons, Earl Green and Ishmael Bunch.
---Mr. and Mrs. Bunch moved to La Plata in 1898.
