Cook died Thursday at 7:10 a.m. in Howard Community Hospital. He had been ill since May 8.
Born in Falmouth, June 2, 1894, he was the son of Robert and Hettie Cook. In September of 1925 he married Margaret Haynes Howell, who survives.
He moved to Galveston 13 years ago from Pontiac, Mich. where he had been employed by the G.M.C. Truck Company.
He served with the U.S. Army in World War I, and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Falmouth and the American Legion of Galveston.
Surviving with the widow are a son, Edward Cook of Georgia; a daughter, Martha Cook of Pontiac, Mich.; a step-son, Robert Howell of Kokomo; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jessie Sage of R.R. 1; two brothers, Fred and Donald Cook, both of Falmouth; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
