He was first buried with Masonic ceremonies in a private cemetery in his neighborhood. His remains were later moved to the old Kinne Cemetery at Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York, near the graves of other family members. He was a noted stonemason.
He married Patience ROGERS, possibly on 9 January 1810 at Washington County, New York. She was born on 1 February 1795 at Hebron, Washington County, NY. She died between 1875 and 1880 at Champion, Jefferson County, New York. She was the daughter of Thomas ROGERS and Sarah Irene (CARR) ROGERS.
They had the following two children:
