Irma married her first husband, Floyd McFarland, in 1945. Following his death in 1970, she married Vinton Hiram Donner, son of Charles A. and Amanda Helga (Finkbeiner) Donner, both children of German immigrants, who resided in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, in 1972.

[Amanda Finkbeiner had married Charley Donner on 20 July 1921 in Saline. Amanda, born 1895 in Saline, was the daughter of George Finkbeiner and Katherine (Schaible) Finkbeiner, also buried here.]

Vinton Donner, was residing in Clinton, Lenawee County, Michigan at the time of his death on 1 March 1990 in Superior Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. In 1993-1996, Irma was living at 316 W. Michigan Ave., lot 106, Clinton, Lenawee Co., Michigan.

"Irma Luella Donner, 81, died Aug. 10, 2002, at her Roscommon home. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, provided arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Amicare Hospice. Mrs. Donner was born Sept. 19, 1920, to Harvey E. and Loraina C. (Stockwell) Borden. She lived in Kalkaska and Clinton before moving to Roscommon two years ago. She and Floyd McFarland were married in 1945; her husband preceded her in death in 1970. She and Vinton Donner were married in 1972; he preceded her in death in 1990. She retired as a beautician after working in Ann Arbor and Clinton. Mrs. Donner had served in the U.S. Army as a cook in Paris and London during World War II. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Morloock of Seattle, WA; two sons, Ron and wife, Sharon McFarland of Roscommon, and Thomas McFarland of Detroit; three step-children, LouAnn Stuhmer of Ann Arbor, Bob Donner of Maryland and Rita Treece of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Floyd Peck of Kalkaska and Beulah Larabee of Brighton." - obituary contributed by Marcy
