Ann Swanson Eure, 74, of Wilmington, formerly of Morehead City and Greensboro, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 - our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.

Her memorial service is at 11 a.m. Thursday at West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro. Her funeral was Tuesday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City with the Rev. Jerry Johnson and the Rev. Mance Caison officiating. Burial followed in Bayview Cemetery.

She was raised in Morehead City, moved to Greensboro and then Wilmington. She attended Meredith College. She was an employee of Health and Hygiene of Greensboro for 15 years and was a member of the West Market Street United Methodist Church. She was a foster mother for 10 years and kept more than 100 babies.

She is survived by three daughters, Tracy Kuney and husband Paul of Wilmington, Heidi Cohen and husband JD of Jamestown, and April Leonard of Raleigh; three sons, Hilliard M. "Bud" Eure of Morehead City, Glenn Eure and companion Amy McCoin of Greensboro and Matthew Eure of Wilmington; mother, Sudie Louise Swanson of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Frank Swanson of Morehead City and Tommy Swanson and wife Mary Elizabeth of Virginia Beach, Va.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by Munden Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. of Morehead City.
