Martha Grobe
Martha Grobe (nee Reetz) of Bensenville, died Sept. 28 at the age of 67 years. She was born March 1, 1876 in Chicago. On Palm Sunday, 1890 she was confirmed in the Christian Faith at St. John's church by Rev. Bernhard. She received for her memory verse, the 23rd Psalm, "The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want."
She was united in marriage to Louis Grobe on June 23, 1901, who preceded her in death on April 24, 1935. To this union, nine children were born, two having preceded their father and mother in death in infancy. Of the seven remaining children, two sons and two daughters are married, while three are still at home, one son serving in the U. S. Army.
