Lancaster News - May 10: Mrs. Mary Jane Brasington, widow of the late Wm. F. Brasington of this county, died at the home of her son, Mr. Wm. Brasington, at Wadesboro, NC, where she had gone on a visits, at 1:15am Saturday last, in the 95th year of her age. She made her home at Rich Hill, this county, with her son, Benjamin F. Brasington. The remains were brought to Lancaster Saturday last and carried to Union church, the family burying ground, where they were interred beside those of her husband, the funeral services being conducted by her pastor, Rev. B.F. Carson.
