Mrs. Iva Mullen, of Rt. 1, Walker, W.Va. died at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, Sunday, June 22, following an extended illness. She had resided in the Walker area for the past 20 years and was a member of the Baptist Church. A daughter of the late David Giffin and Ella Ahart Giffin, she was born in Wirt County. Surviving are her husband, Edward Mullen; four sons, Carl E. Mullen, Parkersburg, Bernard H. Mullen, James L. Mullen and Shirley Ray Mullen, all of Walker; one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Williams, of Camden, O.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Giffin, of Tuppers Plains, O., and Willard Giffin, of Lubeck; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Wilson, of Kingwood, W.Va., and Miss Veda Giffin, of Spencer. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Newark Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Battin of Parkersburg officiating. Burial followed in the Fought Cemetery. Spencer Funeral Home of Belpre, O., was in charge of arrangements.
