Mary Fentress Martin, 87, of Hardinsburg died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was a retired bookkeeper for Blancett Motor Co. and a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.∼Mary Pauline Fentress Martin, age 87 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, July 22, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Jefferson County, KY on 2-14-1924, the daughter of the late Joseph Willis and Jessie Pauline Rose Fentress. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Breckinridge County Homemakers. Mary retired from Blancett Motor Company as bookkeeper, a job she truly enjoyed. She was a volunteer for AARP, to assist individuals with tax preparation.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Martin.
Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Mary Belle and Joe Hamilton of Lewisport, KY
3 grandchildren: Lucinda, Christopher and Celina
2 step grandchildren: Mason and Logan
2 great grandchildren: Willis and Landon
1 brother - Clinton Fentress of Hardinsburg, KY
2 sisters - Lois Eckles and Kathryn Fink of Florida
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Stevenson officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions are requested to: Alzheimers Association or Hospice of Western Kentucky.
