Charles A. Moore, son of Charles C. and Mary Moore, was born May 26, 1872, in the North Page vicinity southwest of Villisca and died June 30, 1956, at 11:15 pm at his home at 509 E. Sixth street in Villisca, at the age of 84 years, his death resulting from a heart ailment.

He was married Feb 14, 1895, in Villisca to Lulu Welch who survives him, as do also one brother, Harry of Anacortes, Wash., one sister, Minnie of Omaha, Mrs Roberta Schantz of St Joseph, Mo, and Mrs Dorothy Goosey of Spokane, Wash, who for years made their home with Mr and Mrs Moore, and their children, Sharon and David Schantz and Jackie Goosey.

Mr Moore was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3 at 2 pm at the Sutphen funeral home, conducted by the Rev Alvin D. Sigafus.

The singing was by Cecil Weaver, accompanied by Mrs Mabel Dunn, and in charge of the flowers were Mmes Carrie, Nora, Hazel and Stella Fisher. Pallbearers were Fen, Earl and Paul Fisher, Glen Schantz and Arnold and Robert Moore, and interment was in the North Page cemetery.

Those from a distance attending the services were: Mrs Georgie Bengston, T.H. Moore, Mrs Erick Bengston, Essex, Mrs Kenneth Bowman, Mr and Mrs Adolph Mainquist, Mr and Mrs Adolph Mainquist, Mr and Mrs Lowell Schantz, Red Oak, Mr and Mrs Angus McIntosh, Coin, and Leonard Kelly, Urbana, Ill.
