Temperance Sheppard was the daughter of Jonadab Sheppard and the wife of David Sheppard and Jonathan Lore. All her children were by her first husband David Sheppard. She had no children by her second husband Jonathan Lore. Temperance Sheppard Sheppard's death date is recorded in the Robbins-Bedant Bible Records where she is referred to as Temperance Lore, the wife of the Reverend David Sheppard. Temperance Sheppard Sheppard Lore was among one of the first members of the Dividing Creek Baptist Church in 1761 and is buried in the church's cemetery.
