Funeral services for Mr. John Lambright of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2005 in the Gospel Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church, Oakdale with Pastors Thomas McMurray and James Vandergriff officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery, Oakdale under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. John Lambright was called to be with the Lord on Friday, December 9, 2005, after a long struggle with illness from diabetes and heart complications. He was born December 10, 1953, the son of Oddist (Red) Lambright and Verna Lee Potts Lambright. He was previously married to Edith Kay Doyle Piper, of Oakdale and had three children.

He was a member of New Life Apostolic Church in West Monroe. He was a retired Apostolic Pastor and pastured churches in Harlem and Perry, Georgia. He worked as a professional electrician specializing in heating and air conditioning; dba A-1 Heating and Cooling Company of West Monroe. He was also the owner of A-1 General Contracting in Monroe. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Throughout his life he lived and worked in Houston, Texas; Harlem and Perry, Georgia; Oakdale and Monroe, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oddist Lambright; one sister, Jill Lambright and brother-in-law, Jessie Doyle, Jr. of Pitkin.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Townley Lambright of Monroe; two sons, Otis Brian Lambright of Columbia, Tennessee, and Wesley Hagan Lambright of Monroe; one daughter, Teris Olivia Lambright Hayden of Oakdale; two step children, Josh and Teri Rapper of Monroe; his mother, Verna Lee Potts Lambright of Sterlington; one brother, Oddist Jack Lambright of Sterlington; one sister Mary Alice Lambright Fuselier and her husband, Curtis Ray Fuselier and three nieces, Leslie, Laken, and Lauren Fuselier all of Sterlington. He is also survived by his two nephews, Keith and Kevin Doyle of Oakdale. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Nathaniel, John, and Jill Lambright of Columbia, Tennessee and Peyton and Ashton Hayden of Oakdale.

Friends may call at the Gospel Lighthouse Church from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2005 and from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Sunday, December 11, 2005.
