Jay was born in Arkansas and came to the city in 1925. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie and a daughter, Mrs. Ersa England, of the home; four sons, S.A., 3112 SW 37, G.W. of the home, Robert G., Mustang, and Joseph M., Los Angeles, and a sister, Mrs. Lottie Harshfield, Delaware, Ark.
