Elinor Coleman was born August 14, 1912 to James W. and Delia (Hensley) Miller in Cumby, Texas. She departed from this life February 9, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 97 years, 5 months and 26 days.
Elinor attended Platter Flats High School graduating in 1929. On November 28, 1929, Elinor Miller united in marriage with the love of her life, Gene Coleman and to this union three boys were born.
Elinor was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Bristow. She was a member of the WMU, the Rebecca's, and the Spirit Bank Gold Club. Elinor enjoyed painting, crocheting, and cooking, and Bible Study.
Elinor is survived one son and wife; daughter-in-law; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Gene Coleman; her parents; two sons, Joe Coleman and Jim Coleman; two brothers, Otto Franklin Miller and Hugh Miller; one sister, Irene Hansard; and two grandsons, Mark Coleman and Timothy Coleman.
Memorial Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Bristow.
