John was painter by trade. By 1954 he was a prison guard. He had two step sons at the time of his death: Richard Yost and Roger Gloff. John is listed with his father living with his Aunt Marie 1920 Census. But in the 1930 records as "John R" or "John K" . Then 1933 John and brother Steve were living in California.
He returns to Michigan city and is married to Muriel and living with her son "Richard Yost" 10 years old in 1940 and is listed as having only an 8th grade education and a still painting like his father as his trade.
He was married a least twice to 1) "Muriel L. Ritter (Yost)" who was divorced in 1930 just as her son Richard was born. Then he married, after 1947 the year Muriel's death, 2) Widow "Martha M. Gloff (Golde)" or "Margaret" who had a son from her first marriage "Roger Louis Gloff" (b 1922) whose father was "Louis Geroge Gloff" (1896-1935). LG Gloff was a WWI vet and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Mich. City, IN.
John died in 1974 at the age of 66.
