Imo Crook, 82, came to Stephens County at the age of nine. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1930. She was a member of the 1929 State championship basketball team. In 1939, she won her flight int he Women's West Texas Golf Association tournament at the Odessa Country Club and hauled furniture that she won back to Breckenridge on the top of her car.

She was a former member of the Breckenridge Golf Club and member of Desk & Derrick Club. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she served as Secretary of the Board, a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Christian Women's Fellowship. She was secretary for Stephens County Abstract Co.

Survivors: nephew - Bob Franklin of Monahans.

She was preceded in death by her first husband - Rayford Carey; her parents - Alfred A. and Myrtle Franklin; two brothers - Wesley and Edward A. Franklin.
