Calvin Coolidge Aleshire, 74, 103 First St., Luray, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at the Life Care Center in New Market.
Mr. Aleshire was born April 6, 1924, in Luray, and was a son of the late Kirby F. Aleshire and Mollie Virginia Foster Aleshire.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a carpenter.
On Dec. 3, 1967, he married Avis Taylor, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Dr. Steven L. Aleshire, Athens, Ga.; one brother, Daniel W. Aleshire, Luray; two sisters, Hollis Neff, Timberville, and Ruth Smith, Luray; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Charles Comer will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Luray Church of the Brethren. Burial will be at Graves' Chapel Cemetery in Stanley at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Arrangements are by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
