Tom Sokolich, 80, of Columbia and formerly of Vero Beach, Fla. and St. Louis, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at Boone Hospital Center.

Tom was born on Aug. 26, 1927, in St. Louis to Charles and Anna Zerial Sokolich, and they preceded him in death. He married Vivian Philipak on March 27, 1954, in St. Louis, and she survives.
Tom was a member of Ironworkers Local No. 396 in St. Louis and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marine.
He is also survived by his children, Susan Teel and husband Dudley of Vero Beach, Tim Sokolich and wife Liz of Murrietta, Calif., Dan Sokolich and Jen Brown of St. Louis, Jeff Sokolich and wife Paula of Sugar Land, Texas, Patti Sokolich Watts and husband Steven of Columbia; grandchildren, Sara Gordon, James, Emily and Connor Teel, Suzanne and Danny Sokolich, Kim and T.J. Sokolich, Claire, Evan and Elena Sokolich and Olivia Watts; great-grandchild, Isobel Gordon; and brother, Marco Sokolich.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Joe, and one sister, Caroline.
