OBITUARY:
Miss Ella Schatz passed away at Genn Hospital, Monday, September 25th, after an illness of several weeks.

Miss Schatz was a native of Missouri and came here with her parents, Mary and George Schatz, when a young child. She taught school for a number of years and was later employed as a typesetter for the Agriculturist, now the Wamego Reporter. She lived alone on her farm west of Wamego. She had been a resident here for about sixty years.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Maggie Davis, of Santa Maria, California, also nieces and nephews. Two nephews, George and Walter Schatz, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, were here for the funeral, which was held Wednesday at 8:00 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic church. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

ELLEN SCHATZ
Ellen Alice Schatz was born in September, 1867, on the farm west of Wamego. She was a teacher for several years. Later on she took up the printers trade and followed it for a number of years, working on the Kansas Agriculturist in Wamego and while living in Santa Maria, California, on a local paper, The Vindette. Her later years were spent in management the farm.

We wish to thank the Wamego hospital and all the kind friends who helped to minister to my dear sister in her last illness, also those who gave flowers and attended the funeral. Margaret Schatz Davis and family, Santa Maria, California.

SEPARATE NOTATION
Ella's sister Emma did not die until 1941. She resided at the Topeka State Hospital

ADDITIONAL BURIAL INFORMATION
It is believed that Ella was buried on the north side of her mother Mary Schatz. No headstone marks her burial site.
