Rose M. Nielson

Rose McFarland Nielson, 81, of 2903 Pingree, died last night in a local hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1878, in West Weber a daughter of James and Hannah Boyack McFarland. She married Frank William Nielson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1941.
Mrs. Nielson lived most of her life in Taylor, and came to Ogden about 1939. She was a member of the Relief Society and visiting teacher, and was known for her quilt and rug making.
She received her schooling in Weber County schools and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Surviving are three sons; William Henry Nielson, Frank M. Nielson and Leonard nielson all of Ogden; three daughters, mrs. Lee (Mable) Williams of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ethel Bitton of Ogden and Mrs. Blair (Erma) Preece of Roy; twenty six grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Funeral Chapel by Bishop William N. Covey of the Nineteenth Ward.
Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to services.
Burial will be in the West Weber cemetery.
