Gisela Heins

Gisela Ruebel Hines, 70, of Whitney died Sunday, March 9, at a Waco hospital. She was born December 12, 1926 in Duisburg, Germany, daughter of Christian Burdiener and Wilhelmine Luise Minnerup Ruebel. A United States citizen, she owned the Little Deli in Whitney, served on the Whitney City Council from 1992-96, and was a member of King Memorial Methodist Church of Whitney and other Hill County Organizations. Survivors include; two daughters, Shirley Shiner of Woodbury, New Jersey and Valerie Marzili of Sicklerville, New Jersey; one son, Robert Tickett of Salida, Colorado; seven brothers and sisters residing in Canada and Germany; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at King Memorial United Methodist Church in Whitney with Rev. Allan Lane and Rev. Allie Davenport officiating. Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney.
