Helen L. Farmer Erven Lewis, 87, of Springfield, Mo., was born November 22, 1923 in Taft, California and passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in St. Johns Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonie and Bethel (Beck) Farmer; husband Adrain Lewis; former husband Edwin Erven; brother Lowell Farmer; and sister Erma Lee Vincent.

Helen is survived by her children all of Springfield, Larry Erven, Louise Erven Stewart, Linda Erven Newton, Lana Erven Thomas (Gary); grandchildren, Jeffrey Chastain (Delaina), Shawn Newton, Angela Chastain Annin (Chris), Kara Wilson Owens (Chad), Charity Newton Elmer (Paul), Jeremy Wilson (Ally), Larissa Erven, Brooke Wilson Morehead (Tyler), Christopher Erven (Vaiata); 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Pearce, Geraldine Wood (David), Kay Ogburn (Bill); one brother, Jay Farmer (Shirley) and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, good neighbors and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home in Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo. The interment will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
