Hazel Lenora Fowlks Wood 1907~2004 Hazel Lenora Fowlks Wood passed away on January 18, 2004 in Murray, UT. She was born on August 15th, 1907 to Joseph and Margaret Sorensen Fowlks. She married Francis Marion Wood on May 10th, 1927. Their marriage was later solomized in the LDS Jordan River Temple. They had 15 children, 74 grandchildren, 167 great grandchildren, and 119 great-great grandchildren. Hazel touched and enriched so many lives during her 96 years on this earth. She loved square-dancing and was an avid "rock hound". She also loved to quilt and crochet, producing many beautiful gifts for her family members. She is preceded in death by her husband Marion, who passed away on September 30th, 1969. She is also preceded in death by sons Francis Marion Jr., Keith LaMar, Robert Newell, and Preston; and daughters Joyce and Ora May. She is survived by sons William Ray (Gloria), Tucson, AZ; Raymond J. (Linda), Riverton; Roland D. (Linda), West Valley City; and daughters Lucy (Walt) Frear, Elberta, UT; Lila (Richard) Hampton, Murray; Illeane (Jerry) Dennis, Elberta, UT; Afton (Victor) Adams, Bountiful; Jean (Richard) Mackay, Taylorsville; and Veone (Richard) Boyington, West Valley City Funeral services will be Saturday, January 24th 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary 700 South 36 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
