In 1894, Frank bought and donated the 1222 pound Brass-bronze Alarm Bell that would sound to the city and it's firemen the alarm of a fire or emergency for 21 years until more modern methods of alarm were used. It was mounted in Phoenix Fire Station 1 ('Central Station') and later in City Hall. As of 2021, the Bell sits in the Lobby to greet people at Phoenix Fire Department's Administrative building at 150 South 12th Street.
