at the age of 82 years and 10 months. In 1898
he married Jennie Sheets and soon after moved
to the village of Berrien Springs where he has
been a resident these many years. Their mar-
riage was blessed with two sons, Harold and
Ival, and one daughter. Dula, their only daugh-
ter, passed away in 1934.
Otis was a faithful member of the Seventh-
day Adventist church for over 42 years. In
1952 his companion of many years was called
to rest after several years' illness. He later
took as his new helper and companion, Mrs.
Vance Palrniter. Funeral services were held in
Berrien Springs, December 10, 1956. Words of
comfort were spoken hy Elder S. E. Wight
assisted by the writer, and our dear brother
was laid to rest in the family lot in Rose Hill
Cemetery to await the coming of the Life Giver
