Mrs. Coons was born in Saline County, Illinois. She had resided at Herbat during the past 13 years where her husband has been pastor.
Besides the husband, Mrs. Coons is survived by a son, Jesse L. Coons, South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneith Lawson, Marion, and Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell, Elkhart; a niece--Mrs. Roy Oswalt, Marion, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Herbart Methodist Proestant church. Rev. Fred Clark, president of the Indiana Conference of the Methodist Protestant churches will be in charge assisted by other pastors of the church. The body was taken to the home in Herbat this afternoon to lie in state until time for the services.
