He was the son of Dirk and Appollonia (Van Garden) Quick. He was baptized at the Old Dutch Church in Kingston on 18 Oct 1743. In many of these old church records the name Quick was spelled Kwik.

He was married about 1762 to Catrina Cortreght. They continued to live in the same area.
He, his brother Abraham, as well as his son David all signed with the Classis. (Governing body of the Dutch Reformed Church.)

He enlisted 30 Nov 1781 for service in the Revolutionary War he served with Captain Mackey's Company, Sussex County Militia as a private and Corporal in Captain James Bonnell's company stationed on the frontiers of Sussex. In 1784 he recieved certificates 158 & 375 for depreciated pay signed by Gaston. We have no record of his death but know it was after these certificates were issued.

2. Rachel Corregt b-29 July 1769
