Kada Velma Beatty was born with twin brother, Kyron Velsa Beatty in 1887. (Kyron died at 5 1/2 years old). In about 1898 the Beatty family moved to "Indian Territory" (now Grant County, OK) where father,Alvin, and three sons helped establish the town of Nardin. In 1908, Velma married Edward C. Hall. They had two children, Velsa Farris and Velda Ramona. Around 1922 they moved to a farm near South Haven, KS. Velma had high blood pressure and died, possibly from a stroke, in 1950 at age 62. Her favorite hobbies were playing the piano and making flower and decorations from crepe paper.

"She is my Grandmother on my Dad's side and went by Velma rather than Kada. Except for for the Grandkids. When I was too young to say "Grandma" it came out "Don-Don" and so it was until her death. She didnt want to be an "Old Grandma"...
I was named after her twin brother.
Signed - Kyron Velsa Hall"
