Bob Terrill was born on April 6, 1946, making the world a brighter, funnier place. He died on March 11, 2011, dimming the world with his loss but leaving everyone who was lucky enough to know him richer for his presence. Bob was born to Florine Fuller Terrill and Robert Jermain Terrill in Dallas, Texas. Later his family moved to Enid, Okla. where he spent his childhood with his brother and sister, Becky and Brian, and many friends. Travels as an adult took him many places, but he settled in Fort Collins in 1977 and was a fixture in public radio, library science, and the general community ever since then.

Bob led a varied life. His brilliance was shared with others through his love of music, movies, books, and general humor. Stories abound about Bob and will continue as his legacy. His generous spirit was another gift he gave to us. As a volunteer at Good Samaritan, he brought his passion regarding movies to residents on a weekly basis by showing films. As a neighbor, he was always there to lend a helping hand. And as a contributor to the earlier days of KCSU and KRFC from its inception, he exposed a community to a variety of music that could open their awareness of the depth of music. Bob held a variety of jobs, including a position as Operations Manager for KCSU and Media Librarian at the Loveland Public Library. Once retired he spent days volunteering, spoiling his dogs Opal and Sneakers, and providing nurturing attention to his family.

Bob is survived by his mother, Florine Terrill; his brother, Brian Terrill; his sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Steve Irby, and their children Joel Irby, and Rosa (Josh and children Sullivan and Myles) Christians. He was previously married to Cherry Grimm Russell and Rebecca Timmons Terrill. The last seven years have been the best years for his wife, Vicky; and his stepchildren, Elizabeth and David Rozgonyi, James Gilbert, and Thomas Gilbert. And, of course, Opal and Sneakers.

There aren't enough words to describe Bob Terrill. But hearts are big enough to carry his memory and laugh at his jokes.
