Ms. Audrey Gilbert Frost, age 78, of 220 Dogwood Circle, Tallapoosa, GA, passed away January 5, 2009.
Ms. Frost was born February 5, 1930, in Sand Mountain, AL, to the late George Henry and India Anna Maddox Gilbert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Jackson Williams; a son, Hank Williams; a son-in-law, Roy Lee Pitts; a granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Suddeth; a grandson, little Paul Williams; a great-grandson, Jace Williams; four sisters, Novella Brown, Bobbie Kilgore, Louise Tucker and Marie Jones; and two brothers, Dick Gilbert and G. H. Gilbert.
Ms. Frost was a life-long, devoted member of the Tallapoosa Church of God, a devout Prayer Warrior and an amazing mother to all her family.
Ms. Frost is survived by her beloved Toy Poodle, Tiny Frost, of Tallapoosa; her children, Dolly and Ed Williams, of Tallapoosa, Tinker and Tony McGuire, of Villa Rica, Brenda Pitts, Lane and Ann Williams, all of Tallapoosa, Wayne Williams, of Evansville, GA, Paul Williams, of Tallapoosa and Bobby Williams, of North Port, FL; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Jimmy Williams, of Tallapoosa; half-sister, Wilma Frost, of Chatsworth, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Tallapoosa Church of God with Rev. Ronald Williams, Rev. Jack Williams and Rev. Jerry Denney officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. Music will be provided by Ashley Laminack, Amy Cordel and Tammy Miller.
Pallbearers serving will be Joe Robinson, Joe Hicks, Carol Gilbert, Scott McGuire, Keith Williams and Bobby Walker.
Interment will follow in Hollywood City Cemetery with the Dove release concluding the service.
