ST. REGIS MAN DIES AT V.A. HOSPITAL

Denzil E. Bibler, St. Regis railroad employee and Navy veteran of World War II, died Thursday, [June 1, 1967], at Fort Harrison Veterans Administration Hospital where he had been a patient for five months. He was 57.

Bibler was born October 2, 1909, in Darby, Montana. He enlisted in the Navy at Farragut, Idaho, March 10, 1944, and was discharged December 14, 1945, at Bremerton, Washington, as a seaman first class.

Survivors include four sons: Sidney, St. Regis; Ronald and Gerald of Darby and Michael of the United States Navy.

Dowling Funeral Home in Hamilton is in charge of arrangements, which are pending. Burial will be at Grantsdale.

The son of Sidney Eugene and Effie Amanda Troyer Bibler, both born in Ohio. The 1920 Census shows the family in Darby, Montana; Denzil listed as their oldest child, born in Montana. Denzil married Esther Cunliffe Davis, she died in 1946 in San Francisco, California. He passed away at age 57 in Lewis and Clark County, Montana; last known residence was in Mineral County, Montana.
