SIDNEY E. BIBLER,
DARBY FARMER, DIES AT V.A.

Sidney E. Bibler, 83, retired farmer of Darby, died shortly after midnight at the Veterans' Administration Hospital, Fort Harrison [Lewis and Clark County, near Helena], where he had been a patient since July 17.

Mr. Bibler was born April 16, 1876 in Putnam, Ohio. On Sept. 18, 1899 he enlisted during the Spanish American war at Columbus, Ohio, serving as a private in co. C, U.S. Voluntary Infantry until honorably discharged on July 1, 1901 in San Francisco.

Survivors include a daughter, Caroline [Carolyn?] Finbarger, and a son Roland Bibler, both of Darby.

The body will be forwarded to Hamilton. Herrmann and Co., funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
