Surviving are his wife, Elsie (Brubaker) Irwin; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Beam of Juniata, with whom he resided; one son, Maj. Earl C. Irwin, in the Air Force in Germany; 13 grandchildren, one brother, P.H. Irwin of Altoona and a nephew.
Mr. Irwin formerly was employed at the South Altoona foundries and later retired as custodian at Klevan's store.
He was a member of the Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren.
Friends received at Mauk & Yates funeral home after 6 o'clock Thursday evening.
Services held at funeral home by Rev. C H. Cameron. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
