Mrs. Mabel Huffman, 78, of Prophetstown, died at noon yesterday in the Gradert Nursing Home at Geneseo. Services will be at 2 Monday afternoon in the Dailey Funeral Chapel, Port Byron, with the Rev. William Webber, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery, Coe Twp. Friends may call at the funeral chapel this evening. She was born March 26, 1885, near Albany, the daughter of Herman and Ida Jordan. She was married to Alva Huffman on Oct. 12 1909. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a 55-year member of the Woodhull Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Survivors .include two daughters. Mrs. Marian Norberg of Prophetstown and Mrs. Ida Nitz of Hillsdale; two sons, Leon of Victoria, and James of Salem, Ore.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, two sisters and one brother.
