Funeral services for Marie Self Herrington, 88, were held at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church of Florien, La., Revs. Glenn Flenniken, Danny Forsythe and Bobby Franklin officiating. Interment followed at the Florien Cemetery. Mrs. Herrington was born on March, 12, 1921 in Sabine Parish , La. and passed away on May 13, 2009 at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucy Self, brothers, Dewey, Bernice and Ottis Self.
Mrs. Herrington is survived by her husband Kermit Herrington of Florien, La., sons, Horace Herrington and wife Robbie of Grapevine, Tx., Larry Herrington and wife Sandra of Florien, La., daughter Betty Jo Chance and husband Bobby of Florien, La., brother William Amos Self and wife Sylvia of Cuba, Mo., 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
